Cancer Research Center of Hawai‘i study finds birth control pills reduce risk of ovarian cancer

Galina Lurie, Lynne Wilkens, and Marc Goodman of the Epidemiology Program recently reported in the journal Epidemiology that oral contraceptives can protect women from epithelial ovarian cancer, the most common type of ovarian cancer, even with short term use.
